The Redress Closet pop-up and workshop at Goethe Earth Day Eco-Fair
Joining the Goethe-Institut’s Earth Day Eco-Fair on 31 July, where talks, workshops, and stalls were presented by local environmental and creative groups, The Redress Closet hosted a pop-up shop for fashionable secondhand clothing. Our staff also delivered a book reading and upcycling workshop based on our comic book, Yoyo and the World’s Coolest T-shirt.
Warehouse backlog cleared by volunteers
Thanks to our community and corporate volunteers, the 7-tonne backlog of clothing sitting in our warehouse has finally been sorted and been given new life. The clothes are now in the good hands of our charity partners, with the best going for resale at our secondhand store The Redress Closet, and others ready to be downcycled.
