SOCIAL VENTURES HONG KONG PANEL

On 25 March, our very own Corane Chu took part in a panel discussion with Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVHK) and Creative Beings on the topic of ‘Edutainment’ and Redress’ approach in educating students about the issues of textile waste.

We were joined by Lisa, one of the interns from SVHK; Max, Founder of Joduchoho; and Edith, Head of Imagication of SVHK. They discussed the importance of human connection and having daily examples to make environmental sustainability a fun topic to engage with.\

ECF COMIC BOOK SESSIONS

The Circular Fashion team delivered a ‘Yoyo and the World’s Coolest T-shirt’ storytelling session with some Grade 2 students from the Harbour School recently. They learnt about the importance of recycling and upcycling, and made pledges that they would live more sustainably. Our team also joined the Harbour School’s Earth Hour event and presented in their Metaverse hub.

Schools can order the comic book free of charge HERE and reach out to corane@redress.com.hk if interested in arranging an interactive storytelling session.

SOCIAL VENTURES HONG KONG INTERNS

Since December, we have had the pleasure to partner with Social Ventures Hong Kong and their Creative Beings @ Sham Shui Po project. Through this programme, two interns joined The Redress Closet team, helping to prepare stock, curate and design social media content, and survey our customers.

As part of their internship, Lisa and Manhei hosted a storytelling session and upcycling workshop with the children in our Sham Shui Po community. They co-delivered the story of ‘Yoyo and the World’s Coolest T-shirt’ and together turned an old T-shirt into a tote bag, just like in the story.

Thank you, Lisa and Manhei, for all your hard work!
