Top 10 designers to vie for career-changing prizes including exclusive Timberland collab
We are delighted to announce the 10 finalists of the Redress Design Award 2022, the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition. The finalists, representing eight different regions, outshone hundreds of applicants worldwide for the chance to bring their competition designs to life in time for the Grand Final Fashion Presentation in Hong Kong in mid-September, where the winners will be declared.
This year’s finalists impressed our international panel of industry-leading judges with their creativity in using unique waste streams in their collections, including hotel bed sheets, kimono and obi silks, and damaged deadstock knitted collars. Many of the finalists also employed zero-waste patterns and other circular design techniques to further enhance the sustainability of their designs.
The educational journey provided to Redress Design Award participants also proved its merit as three of its alumni – former semi-finalists — re-applied this year, earning places as finalists.
