Meet the Redress Design Award 2025 Finalists

Announcing the 10 Finalists of the Redress Design Award 2025, the 15th edition of the world’s leading sustainable fashion design competition!

The Redress Design Award 2025 Finalists are:

“The fashion industry's environmental footprint is a ticking time bomb. Every second, the equivalent of one rubbish truck of textiles is landfilled or burned, and this is worsening. Redress’ role vitally brings together designers, academia, and industry leaders annually via our competition to encourage courageous acts to accelerate circular fashion,” said Dr. Christina Dean, Founder, Redress.

Representing a total of nine different regions worldwide including Hong Kong, the talented Finalists now vie for an exciting First Prize supported by DHL Express, our Platinum Sponsor. The competition winner will have their collection showcased at Greenext Expo in Shanghai and be provided with mentorship from renowned designer, Flora Cheong-Leen to develop a limited-edition upcycled item for retail. Other prizes include a subscription to Bloomsbury’s online portal, the Berg Fashion Library, for all Finalists.

Now, the 10 Finalists are hard at work on bringing to life their outfits made from textile waste, to be showcased on the runway of the Grand Final Fashion Show in Hong Kong this September. Next up, they will send their completed collections to Redress for a professional photoshoot with Vogue Hong Kong, with the garments to be safely delivered by event’s Platinum Sponsor, DHL Express. These innovative collections will travel from various global locations to Hong Kong, utilising DHL’s GoGreen Plus service, a dedicated solution that reduces carbon emissions associated with international air shipping through sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Then, the Finalists will come to Hong Kong for an educational bootcamp of workshops and challenges. During their time in Hong Kong, the Finalists will be staying at Dash Living.

Coming soon: Public Voting for People’s Choice Award

In August, Redress will invite the global public to cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award, highlighting the importance for everyday consumers to play their part in tackling fashion’s growing waste crisis. The People’s Choice winner will be announced at the Grand Final in Hong Kong in September, which will be livestreamed for viewers across the globe.
