After our biggest year for entries to date and a challenging selection process by our regional judges across Asia and Europe, 30 talented fashion designers (15 from Asia and 15 from Europe) have successfully made it through to the international judging stage of the competition. UNCOVERING THE DARK SHADOW OF FASHION
As part of our efforts to raise awareness on the issue of textile waste, we enlisted the help of Hong Kong Baptist University students to design and build a sculpture which was exhibited from July 2015 in K11 mall, Hong Kong. The aim of the exhibition was to inspire shoppers about the role they can play in creating a more sustainable fashion industry by re-thinking the way they buy, care and dispose of their clothes. EMPOWERING DESIGNERS TO CUT WASTE OUT OF FASHION
On June 7 2015, the last in a series of five Fashion Academies took place in India to bring sustainable fashion education to emerging designers. In Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, London and Mumbai attendees were inspired by the positive power of fashion, hearing from a variety of sustainable fashion experts and previous competition alumni.
