Get redressed this september
We are calling fashion lovers across Hong Kong to join in our citywide series of sustainable fashion focused events this September to coincide with HKTDC’s ‘Hong Kong in Fashion 2016’ and ‘CENTRESTAGE 2016’. Our month-long calendar of activities encourages the public to redress their relationship with their clothes and to cut waste out of fashion. See below for how to get involved!
BUY PRE-LOVED CLOTHES AND SUPPORT REDRESS
We are hosting not one, not two, but three of our ever-popular secondhand clothing pop-up shops with partners PizzaExpress, The Annex and KONG. Shop from an impressive range of pre-loved luxury brands to quality high-street brands with all proceeds going to support our work.
DONATE WITH YOUR MORNING BREW
1 – 30 SEPT
Throughout September, Pacific Coffee will be accepting cash donations on behalf of Redress at till point collection boxes in all Hong Kong coffeehouses. All donations will go to reducing textile waste in the fashion industry though designer, consumer and industry engagements. Please give generously!
WATCH FRONTLINE FASHION
Redress will be hosting the screening of Frontline Fashion, the environmental NGO's first feature-length documentary following 10 talented emerging fashion designers determined to change the future of fashion. The documentary follows the designers as they descend into Hong Kong for the world's biggest sustainable fashion design competition, The EcoChic Design Award and explore opportunities for reducing waste. Sign up for our screening here and watch the full trailer.
DONATE YOUR UNWANTED CLOTHES
This clothing drive will give unwanted clothes a second life and reduce clothing waste and bring benefit to local environmental and social charities. Anyone can join by dropping their unwanted and quality clothes off at the Caelum Greene store. More information here. If your company are interested in joining our corporate drive get in touch here.
IS DIGITAL DISRUPTION FUELLING POSITIVE CHANGE?
9 SEPT, 11.30am
